Butterflies are a hot topic at the Casa around lunchtime. Due to some careful planting of butterfly attracting foliage, we have had many, many butterfly visitors to our house this year. It helps that the butterfly garden is right outside our kitchen/dining room window where we hang out a lot. Yep. We are the Casa like to snack...but you already knew that.

We also had two sweet chrysalises given to us by a friend that we watched (read...stared at obsessively for two weeks) turn into butterflies. We then watched them dry their wings, crawl on our fingers and fly away.

Soooo. You're getting the picture here? We eat a lot and like to watch butterflies. The whole point of this is our lunchtime conversation today:

Caroline: I like butterflies!

Parker: Me too!

Caroline: Mommy, if I were a butterfly I would stand on your hand and flap my wings...but I would stay on your hand with you.

Parker: If I were a butterfly I would go eat all of the nectar in the flowers in our butterfly garden. I think I would start with the white flowers on the butterfly bush and then the purple ones, then the red ones on the turk's cap, then..... (you get the picture.)

Caroline: I think if I were a butterfly, I would eat chicken pot pie. (giggle)
