Early morning musings

It is 2:43 in the morning. I am awake. And I haven't a clue why. Continuous sleep has been very elusive to me for the past few years.

Some thoughts of late...

As David left for a root canal yesterday, Parker called out " Bye, Dad! Have a good time...in a painful kind of way!" And grinned.

It is startling to find a large green Franken-monster sitting on your toilet. This reeks of a certain cow-licked blonde haired boy.

It is very painful to try to help a little boy care about learning to write legibly. Especially if you know that it is difficult physically for him as it was for you as a child. But you know that he can. He just doesn't care enough about it to put forth the effort needed.

Did you know that lichen is a fungus and algae all mixed up as one? I never knew. (Or even knew that I didn't know.)

Hmmm...Parker is a common thread here. Guess he is on my foggy mind.

I am awake. And now I will go read the comics. And eat a piece of crisp buttered toast.

maybe he should come live with us. handwriting standards are not very high here. but that sweet grin, now that is quite an achievement... :)

Yeah, handwriting. The bane of homework existence. Ick. Just ask a certain 7 year old I know.

Also, did it really take you 2 and a half hours to write this post?

Elusive sleep is not a good thing. Ick. No suggestions. Only commiseration. :)

It did not take 2.5 hours to write the post. But it was apparently 2.5 hours between the time I started writing and when I actually hit the "post" button. There was not really a steady stream of consciousness flowing.

I like the grin too! However, now that he has injured his arm, I am afraid the penmanship must further suffer. Sigh!

Ah HAH! So Peggy DOES know how to leave comments on blogs! Busted, sister!

Steph, so sorry to hear you are not sleeping well.
