At dinner tonight we grilled a few poblano peppers to put on our hamburgers. They were quite yummy and we encouraged Parker to taste one. (In case you are wondering, Caroline was eating the poblano and had pepper jack cheese on her burger.) He was hesitant because, as he puts it, he is “not a real big fan of hot peppers.”

We assured him that these were very mild and lip-smacking tasty to boot; and so he asked for a taste. David cut off an anchovy sized slice and Parker popped it into his mouth. He frowned a bit, then drank some water and proclaimed.

“It is not horrid like a rye-krisp cracker but not incredibly delicious like organic ambrosia.”

What in the world do you say to that? I think I looked at him quizzically (left eyebrow raised of course) and he grinned.
